I am a member of the Creative Arts Center in Chatham MA, the Guild of Harwich Artist, and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod.

     I have always been interested in art, but it wasn’t until my children had grown and left the nest that I found the time to pursue it.  I tried some workshops in watercolor, and dabbled with acrylics, but didn’t feel I was making the progress I was looking for and I was becoming frustrated with my work. 

     Then, in 1995, I watched a demonstration of pastels by Rosalie Nadeau and knew I had to try them.  Here was a medium that gave me immediate results and was infinitely forgiving. I was now able to correct and refine my work until it met with my approval. I grew to love the medium, and the connection it gave me to the ground I was working on. Finally I was making that progress which I had been seeking.
