Carroll Sivco has lived, painted and exhibited on Cape Cod, MA, Hilton Head Island, SC and Westchester and Suffolk Counties in NY. She has studied art since childhood, majoring in college and continuing with art leagues, classes, workshops and private instruction. While living on Hilton Head Island, she studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she began writing and illustrating her children’s book Suzie Pops Wildlife Adventure, which is presently in NYC looking for a home for publication.
Carroll utilizes her life-long artistic passion with an extraordinary creative sense. Her plein-air paintings reflect the natural surroundings of the beaches and bogs of Cape Cod, the coveted Low Country of the south or the majestic Hudson River in New York. An artist/judge affiliated with the London Academy of Fine Art once remarked that her Best in Show painting pulled you into the very stream that she captured. As a former Registered Nurse, Carroll’s interest in people is apparent in her work and many years of life drawing classes. “I try to portray the very essence of a person or a child. I often feel that some scenes are not complete without people.”
